Spring’s Most Wanted Bags
Go big and bold or petite and polite. You can’t go wrong with either of these bags for spring.

Marni Balloon Bag, $1,620.00
Inspired
When fashion week arrives next week everyone will be talking about their inspiration: past, present, and future. This is what has me going these days.
“Daniel Desario” from “Freaks and Geeks.” The dirt, the grease, the grunge, the flannel shirt buttoned to the top, the leather jacket. All perfection!

My waitress at Rice last week had about three gaudy, gorgeous, fake diamond necklaces hanging casually around her neck with a t-shirt. The look was pure inspiration.

Glitter and Doom: German Portraits from the 1920’s now showing at the Metropolitan Museum. The most phenomenal exhibit I have seen in a while.

Real Deal Chinese Slippers from Pearl River department store. I like the idea of Mary Janes for summer and I say, always go with the original.

Save the Date
Proenza Schouler hits Target February 4th.
For those in NYC, downtown store Opening Ceremony will also be carrying the line from the 2nd-5th. Good luck shoppers!
Is it spring yet?
These Rachel Pally dresses make the wait for spring a little harder.

Long Tube Dress, $216.00
*hint: Long lengths are making a comeback.
Best of the Winter Sales
So I am clicking my fingers to the bone to find you the best of Winter Sales. Reduced prices can trick you into thinking you want things that you in fact don’t even like. This selection may not be the bargain basement variety but you’ll be grateful when you don’t end up with a Chanel Ferret marked down to $9.99.

Why Ask Frye?
Well, well, well. It’s not just boots from Frye anymore. One might swear these vintage inspired sandals from Frye are true thrift store treasures. That’s right sometimes you want your new clothes too look old…
Good For You
Strapless, chiffon, strapless, satin, boobies, gym-arms, collar bones, beige, off-white…The Golden Globes were, fashion-wise, a yawn fest. (I say that as if in other ways they were completely thrilling- they were not.)
So here is my meek homage to the few risk-takers of the evening:
